Welcome—and thank you for being part of this space. This blog was created to share insights from my life as a medical oncologist, physician leader, researcher, and reflective practitioner. In addition to my full-time clinical work, I’m deeply engaged in real estate development, serve as a franchise owner in the wellness and vitality space, frequently travel as a speaker giving talks 2–6 times a month, and consult for insurance companies across disability, health, and life sectors. I also serve as an auditor/reviewer for the VA. Most importantly, I am a husband, father, and friend—roles that ground and inspire everything I do.
Whether I’m exploring the front lines of cancer care, leadership in medicine, or the human side of clinical practice, my goal is to bring value, connection, and clarity to the conversation.
🧩 Two Types of Blog Posts I Create
To maintain consistency while balancing a full and fulfilling personal and professional schedule, I use AI tools as editorial assistants—but not all posts are created the same way. Here’s how I categorize them:
✍️ AI-Assisted Reflections
These posts begin with my dictated voice notes—often 10 to 30 minutes long—captured using voice-to-text apps during quiet moments after clinic, on a walk, or at the end of a long day. I speak freely about the emotions, cases, insights, or ethical dilemmas that are on my mind.
I then copy the raw transcript into an AI tool, which helps:
- Clean up the grammar and structure
- Clarify and condense the message
- Preserve the tone while making it more readable for others
These are deeply personal reflections. The thoughts are mine, the emotions are mine, and the direction of each post is entirely driven by my lived experience. AI simply acts as a digital editor—to help make those ideas shareable without losing their authenticity.
đź“° AI-Supported Commentary
These are posts that begin with a current oncology article, research study, or news event. I may use AI tools to:
- Summarize the article or simplify technical details
- Organize key points
Then, I add my personal interpretation, reflections, or commentary on what it means for patients, clinicians, or the future of oncology.
Think of these as curated, thoughtful reactions—anchored in expertise, assisted by digital clarity.

🤖 Why I Use AI Tools
As a full-time oncologist, clinical trial leader, researcher, real estate developer, wellness entrepreneur, frequent speaker, consultant, and family man, my time is precious. I use AI tools to:
- Maintain a consistent blogging rhythm
- Ensure clarity and accessibility of complex ideas
- Focus on high-impact thought leadership while managing other responsibilities
I view AI as an editorial assistant, not an author.
🙏 Thank You for Reading
